Love and Marriage

Chris and I were married at the Zermatt Resort in Midway Utah on Septmeber 12, 2009. It was by far one of the best days of my life. Our wedding was absolutely fabulous and fun. Although the people working at the Zermatt did their best to screw EVERYTHING up, our family and friends were able to take charge and get things done. Thanks Everyone that helped. Chris and I are happily married and living the good life together forever. Marriage is fabulous and don't ever think it's not, or let anyone tell you it's not. Your life is what you make it. When you make the right choice in marriage, you set yourself up for a lifetime of happiness and more good choices. So choose well my friends because it will make or break the rest of your life. My advice for a happy life, CHOOSE CAREFULLY THE PERSON AND PEOPLE YOUR GOING TO SPEND IT WITH. As for me, I have made many unfortunate choices throughout my life but choosing the people around me has not been one. Thank you all the lovelies in my life. I love you all!

Me

The Wedding Countdown

Well here we are 22 days until our wedding. I am full of so many emotions. I am just full to the brim with blessings and love. I feel so thankful for the path God has placed me on. How is it that I am so blessed. On September 12th I will marry my best friend. Chris has just filled my heart and soul with love, everything seems better when your in love and with the right person. I have been reading through our ceremony and I am just so overjoyed that Chris and I are making this commitment. I am ready to make the commitment to Chris and walk this journey of life with him hand in hand. I know that this union was blessed by God from the very beginning. If your patient God will move mountains to bring you to the one your meant to love. It's incredible the magnitude of love that flows between him and I. I know that in 80 years Chris and I will be sitting next to each other on a porch still madly in love.

The Proposal

Chris proposed the day after Thanksgiving 2008. He took me downtown and had my friend call and offer us basketball tickets, the only catch was we had to walk down to the Salt Lake Tribune building (which is the local newspaper in Salt Lake) so Chris and I walked down to the Tribune and we went up to meet the guy who was suppose to give us our tickets, he told us he had to look for the tickets and that we should go out onto the balcony and wait for him. The balcony overlooked downtown Salt Lake it was about 8 stories high and all the buildings had there Christmas lights up it was absolutely amazing up there. Chris then told me we weren't up there to get the tickets to the game, I was very confused until he started to get down on one knee and pull a square tan box out of his sock. I felt like I was in a dream. He then told me how much he loved me and that he wanted to marry me. I tackled him and couldn't stop crying. After the shock I said yes and finally looked at the amazing ring he had for me. We left the Tribune and he took me to dinner at Flemings my favorite restaurant. Then he told me he had one more surprise for me. He blindfolded me and took me to my sisters house where he had all my friends and family waiting for an engagement party. It was the best day of my life and he is amazing.

Trip to Texas

On July 1st, 2008 we made our first trip to Texas together to meet my family. We were both excited to see how everyone would like her. I know my family very well and just like I thought they LOVED her! Especially my yougest nephew, Lael. Overall we had a pretty good trip. It was hotter than hell but otherwise, good. I grew up in Cuero, TX, and Christie found out the hard way just how boring a small town can be. Thankfully we had my uncle John to take us to Austin. We had a lot of fun there. We Partied on 6th street a few times. Then we went to Wimberly, TX and swam in Blanco River. I wish you all could have been there....Christie and my mom were making wedding arrangements already! I haven't even proposed yet! lol. I'm so glad like love her cause now that's the next thing on my agenda. :)

The One

Chris and I met through mutual friends, and let me tell it couldn't have come soon enough. I recently had dedicated all my prayers asking, no begging, God to send me "the one." I had heard from many sources that he was out there somewhere I just had to be patient. Well anyone who knows me knows I am not patient at all. Let me tell you, Chris was well worth the wait, it may have taken me ten years to find him but when I did I knew immedietly he was indeed "the one."

OUR FIRST DATE
Chris and I spoke briefly at about midnight one night when I had run into Anthony (our mutual friend) and his wonderful wife Becky outside a small club. Anthony decided that he had the perfect friend that he wanted to hook me up with and so he called up Chris, who was half asleep at the time, and handed me the phone. It was a little awkward to say the least. A few weeks later Chris asked me to a movie and asked me to pick. I picked "Kingdom" which shocked Chris (he thought he was gonna be sittin through a chick flick for sure). I was running a little late and Chris got to the movies before me, he had no idea what I looked like, and saw a girl around my age walk in who was less than attractive and thought he was in for a long bad blind date. Then I came in, slow motion hair blowing all around me...lol...No I just walked in and we met and we have been inseperable ever since.
